Our story

Imagine a working environment where you immediately feel welcome when you enter. A place that is more than a cold office or a busy coffee shop. A place where heart and mind come together, where people and meaningful encounters create the atmosphere.

Our story began in 2017, when founders Petra Erätuli-Kola and Katja Kojo opened our first office in Otaniemi. With them, they brought startup energy and a homey feel to a close-knit coworking community. The hybrid work revolution changed the office market and demand grew for increasingly flexible and collaborative spaces. In 2021, Innovation Home was backed by family-owned investment firm Kovanen Capital, a private equity firm with a strong service tradition and a value base based on long-term ownership.

In 2022, we opened a fully renovated property in Kamppi, Helsinki, in partnership with Capman. This marked the first steps towards serving larger companies. In the same year, we expanded our Tampere operations to Varma's Finlayson site, which has since expanded several times. We also continued to operate in the atmospheric factory building in Helsinki Arabia.

In 2024, we entered a new phase with the transfer of our capitalisation. Henri Hietala was appointed as CEO to drive forward a journey that combines professionalism and emotion. Our real heroes are the people whose handprint is visible in the details and felt in the atmosphere, making every encounter meaningful.

Our mission is simple: to build a good working life by creating working environments that are good to be in and easy to succeed in. We are constantly developing the concept and invite you to join us on a journey to build a good working life together, one working environment at a time.

We offer working environments where well-being, recovery and encounters are the basis of service. Our facilities are safe and accessible, with a warm and open atmosphere. Community Managers make sure that everyone is heard and treated as an equal human being, not a Y.
Smarter use of space, lower carbon footprint
Shared spaces and smaller offices reduce square footage and carbon footprint, but not comfort or everyday life. When dozens or hundreds of users share the same corridor and support spaces, both concrete and energy are saved.
