From Growth Platform to the Next Chapter: The Closure of Otaniemi as Part of Renewal

Innovation Home Otaniemi is the location where our story began in 2017 — with startup energy and spirit. The campus setting near Aalto University has over the years radiated community, innovation, and an authentic atmosphere where people and ideas have met. This warm and boldly distinctive space has played an important role in our shared growth.

Both the Otaniemi site and the company have grown over time. Today, we offer larger spaces that support hybrid work in Helsinki’s Kamppi and Arabia districts, in the Finlayson area of Tampere, and soon at our new M7 location in the heart of Helsinki. The new locations include both efficient private offices and entire floors that serve a diverse range of growth companies, expert organizations, and large corporations. Hybrid work has significantly transformed how we work, and we continuously develop our workspaces accordingly.

As part of our strategic development and updated quality standards, we will close the Otaniemi unit at the end of June 2025. This decision is part of a longer-term plan in which we focus on strengthening the quality of our spaces and the service experience at locations best equipped to meet the needs of modern work.

At the same time, we are expanding the Kamppi concept in June 2025, which has maintained a 100% occupancy rate for the past three years. With the expansion, the upper floor is being renovated to include more efficient offices and additional shared spaces to support the existing ones. The updated space solutions will better support hybrid work, community, smooth daily operations, and flexible compatibility with shared areas. Kamppi’s spaces are already in high demand ahead of their completion. Some clients will move to the expanded Kamppi location, and others to our Arabia site — the goal is to offer everyone even better working conditions.

For now, there is no active location in Otaniemi, but as part of our growth strategy, we are exploring opportunities to open a new site in the nearby area in the longer term.
